There are three main parts of creating walkthroughs in FlowMo: recording steps, editing, and sharing. This article will go over each part so you can refer back to this wherever you are in the building process.
The first part of building walkthroughs is recording your walkthrough. To begin recording, navigate to the web page or SaaS platform you want to record your walkthrough in. Once you are there, open the chrome extension and select 'Start Recording'.
This will open the builder widget. It will record your click path and automatically generate steps. When you are done, click 'Create'. If you want to delete the walkthrough, click 'Cancel' or the 'X' in the top right corner.
Once you click 'Create', you will be automatically brought to the walkthrough steps. Not only are the steps generated, but a video showing your whole click path is also generated.
To begin editing your walkthrough, click on the three dots in the top right corner. This will open a drop-down menu. Select 'Edit'.
This will bring you to the editing page. Here you can give your walkthrough a name and general description. You can also fill out the title and descriptions for each step. Once you are done, select 'Save'.
You have built and edited the walkthrough and now it is time to share it! There are two different ways to share your walkthrough.
After saving your edited walkthrough, you will be navigated back to your FlowMo Library. Locate the walkthrough you want to share and click on the three dots.
This will open a drop-down menu. Select 'Share'.
After selecting 'Share', the walkthrough sharing page will pop-up. Here you can change the permissions of who can access the walkthrough and copy the link to send to someone.
You can also share by selecting the walkthrough to re-open the walkthrough step page. Here, click on the 'Share' button. Again, this will open the walkthrough sharing pop-up where you can copy the link to send to someone.
